Kim Jong Nam, who has lived outside North Korea for about 15 years and is believed to have met his younger half brother only once, was checking in for a flight at Kuala Lumpur airport last week when two women ambushed him, smearing some kind of substance on his face.
Malaysian detectives probing the assassination of Kim Jong-nam admitted today that they can not force a wanted North Korean diplomat to answer their questions.
North Korea is strongly denying claims that the women wiped a toxin on Jong-nam, and they have angrily objected to an autopsy being carried out.
Malaysian police on Wednesday said one suspect in the assassination, Hyon Kwang-song (44), is a second secretary at the embassy, while another, Kim Uk-iI (37), works for North Korean flag carrier Air Koryo.
