YouTube has announced the availability of its new live and on-demand streaming service called "YouTube TV" that will be taking on cable or subscription services.

You can even add subscription TV services, Showtime or Fox Soccer Plus, for an extra charge. Among the networks that will be available on YouTube TV are ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, ESPN Fox Sports Network and several regional sports networks. YouTube is not the first to offer such a service, as different providers have been cropping up over the past year or so. However, users will still be able to watch TV on their laptops, computers, or on traditional televisions via Chromecast devices.

YouTube TV is the next step for the website that started out in 2005 and is best known for viral homemade videos.

YouTube TV will also include access to YouTube Red Originals, and further hoping to entice potential customers, comes with up to 6 accounts, so sharing access across the entire family shouldn't be an issue.

Radnor Capital Management LLC Takes Position in General Electric Company (GE)
The sale was disclosed in a document filed with the Securities & Exchange Commission, which is available through the SEC website . Following the sale, the insider now directly owns 738,907 shares of the company's stock, valued at approximately $21,842,090.92.

YouTube has said it is still in talks to get more partners to come on board, but for now, it looks like consumers will have to continue to settle with a hodgepodge of services (including rivals like Sling TV, Hulu and PlayStation's Vue) to get all of their favorite shows.

YouTube TV has a few big caveats and programming holes, but if you are a cord-never or cord-cutter looking to get back into the TV ecosystem, finding two friends and paying $12 a month might be a lot more palatable.

Google says that YouTube TV will be available "soon", but indicated that it may not be available all over the country simultaneously. However, these streaming services are also riddled with major holes, according to The Verge.

YouTube TV works on Android and iOS.
