Eibar now lie seventh in the table and are in contention for a place in Europe for next season, so there's plenty at stake for the home team as well.

According to SER, Ramos claimed that Ronaldo is the only player who is allowed an exemption from defensive duties, due to his remarkable goal scoring record.

On this episode of the Managing Madrid podcast, Kiyan and Gabe share some of their notes from Real Madrid's 1-4 victory over Eibar.

Cristiano Ronaldo, left, with Paul Pogba at Stade de France, Paris, July 10, 2016.

The French striker scored twice, contributed an assist and created another as Real put a hard week, which saw them draw at home to Las Palmas and relinquish top spot, behind them with a comfortable victory.

They are still a huge underdog in this encounter, but Eibar have shaken some trees already, so Madrid have to be more than careful.

Madrid have a healthy two-goal lead to take to Italy thanks to goals from Karim Benzema, Tony Kroos and Casemiro.

In addition to injured Coentrao and Raphael Varane, Zidane won't be able to play Gareth Bale and Alvaro Morata who are both suspended - the Welshman received a direct red card against Las Palmas, while Morata accumulated five yellow cards.

Madrid's scoreless draw with Manchester City came in April 2016, in the first leg of last season's Champions League semi-final. "We are very happy with very good work done, picking up points to battle with our challengers".

"The (Real Madrid) medical staff feel an operation is needed", Marca reported.

25' - GOAL! Eibar 0-2 Real Madrid: Real Madrid have their second goal of the game and it's Benzema who has scored it again! The game will be played at Ipurua Municipal Stadium, Eibar.

The blow is a big one, as they're down yet another attacking option in the match.

"We have performed well in all of our home games and if we perform to a high standard, then we can make Real Madrid's life hard".
