Supporters of the "no" vote protest in Istanbul, against the. Turkey's main opposition party has filed a formal req. But those cases only affected several hundred votes and the decision was taken days after the vote and only once the possibility of fraud had been ruled out.The YSK has also chose to annul elections in the past because of unstamped ballots.

A member of Turkey's main opposition party says the party plans to go the country's top court to challenge the electoral board's 10-1 decision to uphold the results of the referendum expanding the president's powers.

Mehmet Hadimi Yakupoglu, the Republican People's Party's representative to the High Electoral Board, said the party had asked the board to annul Sunday's referendum "because we weren't able to ensure election safety".

Binali Yildirim said Wednesday the electoral board would rule on the main opposition Republican People's Party's request for the referendum's annulment.

A three-month state of emergency was declared in Turkey on July 20, 2016 by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after a military coup attempt took place in the country on July 15 night. Another petitioner, Fusun Cicekoglu, 61, said, "I will not accept my "no" vote be voided and I will not accept "yes" ballots cast illegally".

Yildirim said the "the path to seek rights" should be limited to legal objections and urged the opposition to accept the vote's outcome.

The bar association said a last-minute decision by the electoral board to allow unstamped ballots in the referendum was clearly against the law and prevented proper records from being kept.

A constitutional reform package seeking to introduce an executive presidency in Turkey was approved by 51.4 percent of the voters in Sunday's referendum. This would allow Erdogan to rejoin the governing AKP he co-founded, or to lead it.

"We will invite our founding chairman to our party and we will feel a huge elation to see him among us", he said. Tana de Zulueta, head of the observer mission, told reporters that the group had paid a courtesy call and held a "cordial" meeting with board members. "We share our report and we completed our mandate".

There have been daily street protests in anti-Erdogan neighbourhoods in Istanbul after Sunday's referendum, which the opposition claims was marred by blatant violations.

U.S. President Donald Trump, meanwhile, ignored the concerns about voting irregularities and congratulated Erdogan on his referendum victory. The two leaders also discussed Turkey's support of the US response to a Syrian chemical weapons attack and efforts to counter the Islamic State group, according to the White House statement on their phone call Monday.
