Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R), met for a CNNtown hall on Tuesday night.
"I think for whatever reason Donald Trump doesn't fully understand what being president of the United States is about", Sanders replied. Mr. Kasich, who unsuccessfully ran against Mr. Trump in last year's Republican presidential primary, said the allegations that Mr. Trump shared Israeli intelligence about the Middle East with the Russians is... "I mean, we just have to be careful about our terms, that's all I'm saying", he concluded.
"I hope you can let this go", Comey wrote, quoting the President.
Around 400 people packed the room to hear whatever Kasich had to say - and it was a lot.
Sanders then referenced Trump's surprise firing of FBI Director James Comey last week, a move Trump said he made in part because of Comey's handling of an investigation into Trump's ties to Russian Federation.
"I don't think this is just a learning curve, I think he's a smart guy, but something else is going on", Sanders said.
Sanders then drew from a vast spectrum of controversies emblematic of Trump's past four months; from the president's continued fake news obsession to his immigration ban tied up in courts.
"I think John is thinking about becoming a democratic socialist", Sanders quipped in a reference to his own political identification. "And I believe this is not a time for Republicans to hide, and I also don't think it's time for Democrats to exploit", Kasich said.
"I don't have any doubt you're not becoming a serial, entrepreneurial Republican", Kasich said in return.
Of course, high-ranking Trump officials who attended this meeting, and who did go on record - who were quite willing to be publicly named - disputed the fact the president gave information to the Russians that was classified, never mind highly classified.
Sanders, for his part, was more harsh with his criticism.
Kasich said even though it's troubling, there is still not enough information to impeach the president. The graduates are by all reports going to earn 10 percent more than those who don't have a degree, so when the graduates earn more they will pay more in taxes - unless they are Donald Trump.
BBC reports on the situation in the article headlined North Korea tension: China "seriously concerned" about nuclear threats . Mr Pence arrived in Tokyo from South Korea, where he assured leaders of an "iron-clad" alliance.
The tweet came the morning after Trump asserted Comey had told him three times he wasn't under FBI investigation. Trump said he would have fired Comey regardless. "To date, there has been no evidence of collusion", Burr said.

The Emoluments Clause was written specifically to prevent USA officials from accepting money from a foreign state. Because the President oversees the GSA, Trump effectively became both landlord and tenant when he was sworn in.
