The Indian Army today said it had successfully foiled an infiltration bid in the Rampur sector of Jammu and Kashmir, killing 6 militants. The deadly clash happened a day after the army said it had shot dead two militants in the same area after they tried to enter the Indian side.

The attack was foiled weeks after bodies of two Indian soldiers were mutilated in Poonch by a BAT team that heightened tension on the volatile borders. In about half an hour's gunfight, two BAT terrorists were killed. "Search operation is going on", Defence Spokesperson Rajesh Kalia told Mirror. Two Indian soldiers were beheaded in a BAT action in Krishnaghati on May 1, triggering strong reaction from India. They were spotted around 8.40 am in south of Jhelum.

Stressing upon the need for the worldwide community to resolve the issue, he said that the "international community should take notice of Indian atrocities in Kashmir".

The official said as the security forces were closing on the building where the terrorists were hiding, the ultras opened fire.

Pakistan strongly condemning killing of 12 Kashmiri youth in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK), Saturday called upon the United Nations and global community to stop bloodshed in the held valley. Inclusion of terrorists in BAT is a smart move as Pakistan can disown them when caught.

The Northern Command of Indian Army said that security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have mounted relentless operations to thwart attempts by Pakistan to boost terror activities from across the Line of Control.

Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz strongly condemned the killing of 12 youngsters in India-held Kashmir and urged the United Nations and the worldwide community to bring an end to the bloodshed in held Kashmir, said a statement issued from the Foreign Office.

The infiltration of terrorists has increased this year and over 200 militants are waiting along the LoC for sneaking into Kashmir.
