On Saturday, police were investigating and arresting any suspects in the terror attack which became a significant factor in Thursday's election involving Prime Minister Theresa May.

Police were searching for missing French national Xavier Thomas when they found the body on Tuesday night local time.

"It is a heavy toll that we pay in these attacks", he added.

Another victim who was confirmed dead was French waiter Alexandre Pigeard, 27, from Colleville-Montgomery, in Normandy, who was stabbed in the neck at the Boro Bistro where he worked.

"We fear that the collision with the terrorists' van threw him into the Thames". Borough Market, a popular gathering place, remains closed as more evidence is gathered.

French chef Sebastien Belanger (36), was identified by family members as a victim of the attack after several days of frantic searches, according to reports.

South Australian nurse Ms Boden - said to have run back towards danger to help the victims - was confirmed dead by her family on Wednesday night.

She had been out for a late-night walk to see the sights of London, having visited the capital from the Netherlands with her fiance, Tyler Ferguson.

Australian Sara Zelenak died after becoming separated from her friend.

Mr Echeverria, 39, (below) bravely tried to fight off one of the three terrorists with his skateboard as he helped an injured woman.

Relatives said the 28-year-old was "loved and adored by her family, friends and boyfriend", while colleagues at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital in central London described her as "one in a million".

The Spanish foreign ministry confirmed the death yesterday, saying: "The exemplary attitude of Ignacio Echeverria during the attacks is, for everybody, a model of solidarity".

French national, Xavier Thomas, 45 who has been missing since Saturdays terrorist attack has possibly been found in the Thames.

Mr Echeverría was from Madrid and working for HSBC bank in London.
