OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) - After a night of celebrating the Golden State Warriors latest National Basketball Association title, fans snapped up victory shirts and hats Tuesday, while Oakland crews were busy hanging championship banners along the parade route.

After rocking the NBA a year ago with his decision to leave Oklahoma City as a free agent and sign with the Warriors, Durant's dream came true Monday when Golden State beat Cleveland Cavaliers 129-120 to win the best-of-seven NBA Finals four games to one.

In case you missed it, RiRi was courtside for Game 1 of the finals at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, cheering on the Cavaliers and literally bowing down to Lebron James' greatness.

It was sent to Kevin Durant and it came right after Golden State's Game 7 loss to Cleveland.

Which all set the stage for Monday's home victory, the first of the club's five titles won in front of loyal San Francisco Bay area supporters. "Still feel like that today", Curry said.

"And that last three minutes was a blur just of pure emotion and energy". "This was the culmination of a year where (Durant and Curry) grew together and learned each other's games and got better and better all year".

Golden State Warriors fans are breakdancing in downtown Oakland and honking their horns in San Francisco to celebrate their team's latest National Basketball Association title.

"But we were disciplined, we had a message everyday - it was always just about us". "We don't want that to taint what we've accomplished this year so we'll handle that accordingly and responsibly and do the right thing for us individually and as a group".

Beating Cleveland two out of three in the first rivalry to be featured in three consecutive finals didn't hurt the sense of drama the Warriors aroused all season.

"I remember the first day of camp and I walk into camp, and I didn't know what to expect, I didn't know what these guys were like on the court", said Durant.

"We have to be more on edge".

"You learn from your mistakes", Green said. "I feel like we've grown from that".

With the help of Opta, we take a look at some of the numbers behind the Warriors' second title in three years. "Obviously we had a let down previous year".

To win his first championship Durant had to go through the game's greatest player in Cavaliers forward LeBron James, who he defended for most of the five games.

Green: See what we're missing. "I have achieved a lot of individual success in this league but this is a team sport". And then when I came back, we just kept going from there. "When we're doing that, it's nearly like unbeatable".

With a much-improved bench led by Iguodala, JaVale McGee, Shaun Livingston and West, that "Strength In Numbers" slogan that has become such a staple the past two seasons shined all season long, from Durant's 19-game absence late in the regular season with a left knee injury to assistant coach Mike Brown stepping in for 11 postseason games to lead the way while Steve Kerr was ailing.

"He has had an fantastic career, but he took it to the next level".
