Evinger is the current Invicta FC bantamweight champion and has won each of her last 10 fights overall.

The title fight will co-headline the pay-per-view card, which takes place at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Megan Anderson will not be fighting for the UFC women's featherweight championship after all. She was later stripped of the title after refusing to fight Cyborg - who the division was created for. "I think she owes me a fight".

Evinger has held the Invicta 135-pound title for two years but had planned on going up in weight prior to the announcement. "She is as tough as they come and will bring the fight to me the entire time". She was submitted by Yana Kunitskaya with an armbar this past November but that loss was overturned and changed to a no contest because the referee gave Evinger a warning for a foul she wasn't committing, which in turn impacted her ability to defend the fight-finishing armbar.

Cyborg will enter this fight having gone 2-0 since joining the UFC in early 2016.

The promotion crowned Germaine de Randamie its first 145-pound female champion in February, after she defeated former bantamweight titleholder Holly Holm via decision.

UFC 214 will feature the highly anticipated light heavyweight title rematch between champion Daniel Cormier and challenger Jon Jones in the main event. "I am the champ", Cyborg said. She'll get her chance to add a UFC belt to her trophy case when she faces Evinger.

"Cyborg Nation knows that until someone beats me I am world champion at 145 pounds no matter what belt is around my waist. I am sure my fight July 29th will be one of the most watched fights in Brazilian MMA this year!"
