I've Overestimated Donald Trump Morning Joe' Hosts Respond to Trump's Tweets: 'We're OK. The country's not'

"I get exhausted reacting to the president's constant use of Twitter, and I just think he needs to focus on the issues".

Two US television hosts attacked by Donald Trump on Twitter have questioned his mental health. During the presidential campaign, Trump believed former Fox News host Megyn Kelly treated him unfairly during a debate and said she had "blood coming out of her wherever". We will continue to WIN!

Scarborough didn't name names, but he said "three people at the very top of the administration" called him about this. "I won the 2016 election with interviews, speeches and social media", he tweeted on Saturday, before he went on to call his social media usage - "not presidential", but "modern day presidential".

Ms Brzezinski and Mr Joe Scarborough fired back on their programme and in an opinion piece in The Washington Post after Mr Trump's Twitter messages last Thursday, which attacked them, particularly Ms Brzezinski, in highly personal terms.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters that he is "not aware" of White House officials pressing Scarborough to call up Trump and act nice.

The coanchors also condemned's Trump's character on their morning talk show Friday.

Mr Trump tweeted during Friday morning's broadcast, "Watched low rated @Morning_Joe for first time in long time". They also claimed the President was the instigator of the Mar-a-Lago visit, and that the White House had attempted to blackmail them with a negative National Enquirer story. The store owner is quoted as having said that he has seen Scarborough there buying beer, but Scarborough said, "I've never bought a beer in my life, from a convenience store, from a bar, anywhere".

The National Enquirer has been one of Mr Trump's strongest supporters, with the President previously reported to have a close relationship with the chief executive of the tabloid's parent company.

Key Words: Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Trump's tweet attacking Mika Brzezinski: 'What about the constant attacks that he receives?'

She declined to endorse the content of his tweets.

The insults follow a tweetstorm days ago where he referred to Brzezinski as "low I.Q. Crazy Mika", and claimed she was bleeding from a facelift upon her arrival to Trump's Mar-A-Lago resort at New Year's.
