According to reports today in United Kingdom tabloids, Tottenham Hotspur could be about to take Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho to White Hart Lane in a bid to speed up defender Kyle Walker's transfer to Manchester City, AOIFootball.com can report.

Iheanacho, 20, fell out of favour under Pep Guardiola during the second half of last season, with the arrival of Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus inhibiting his chances of game-time.

He was linked with a slew of Premier League clubs but in recent weeks, Leicester City have emerged as the most interested club.

According to Sky Sports, the Foxes have agreed the basics of a deal with Manchester City to take Iheanacho to the King Power Stadium.

It is believed that the two sides are yet to address the contractual issues, one of them being the option for a buy-back clause in Iheanacho's Leicester contract that'll include a fixed fee.

20-year-old Nigerian worldwide Iheanacho has always been linked with a departure from the Etihad, with the arrival of Gabriel Jesus at the club earlier this year pushing the youngster further down the attacking pecking order behind the Brazilian and fellow South American superstar Sergio Aguero.

Iheanacho is also battling his image right case with his former agent before he signs any new deal.

Kelechi Iheanacho has looked impressive when called upon at Manchester City but is still some way off the starting XI.
