Skype Pay Pal update live here’s how to Send Money PayPal's 'Send Money' feature lands on Skype

To send money, you'll need to be using the latest version of Skype for Android or iOS but, confusingly, you can send money to somebody using any version of the messaging app.

Microsoft and PayPal today announced a partnership that enables peer-to-peer payments on the Skype mobile app. When the Send Money feature is used for the very first time it will ask users to confirm their location. That spring, Skype introduced a feature on desktop that allowed its users to send each other money via PayPal, as part of eBay's larger plan to integrate its various services. Then, you'll select "Find" on the top bar while in conversation with a friend or family member, and choose the "Send Money" add-in. Finally, for those sending money to another supported country, Microsoft says that currency exchange is no problem and that you'll be able to send funds from the United States, for example, to a European country, in Euros.

To use this new feature, all you need to do is head over to a particular chat from the "recents" list or the search.

That said, the feature is only available on mobile devices (in 22 countries). "If you're sending funds from the USA, for example, to someone in Europe, you will have the option to send money in Euros". And don't worry about sending money overseas. Here's the full list: the USA, the UK, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

Microsoft-owned Skype has more than 300 million users, according to an announcement a year ago.
