President Donald Trump announced Saturday in a tweet that he has withdrawn his invitation for National Basketball Association champion Stephen Curry to visit the White House, an unprecedented decision.

Trump's latest Twitter rant on Saturday morning had the President attacking Warriors guard Stephen Curry and rescinding his invitation to go to the White House in celebration of Golden State's championship last season.

Championship-winning teams - from little league, collegiate, and professional ranks - are invited to D.C. for a ceremony hosted by the president, but the custom has become a hot-button issue since Trump took office.

Trump wrote. But what the president failed to mention - and what James and numerous others were quick to point out - is that Curry said he didn't want to go to the White House to see Trump anyway.

Bron Bron responded to Trump's tweet with the ultimate clap back. It's not just me going to the White House.

Earlier in the year, New England Patriot's Tom Brady skipped the celebratory White House visit, citing 'personal family matters,' but Trump did not comment on Brady's decision.

On Friday, Curry said bluntly, "I don't want to go". During the political rally in Huntsville, Alabama to campaign for Sen. "That's kind of the nucleus of my belief". "It's not just the act of not going".

Trump tweeted that Curry's invitation to the White House has been withdrawn, but there is no record that a formal invitation was ever extended. However, if there was never an invitation in place, it only adds the unconventional and often times irrational behavior from Trump via social media.

Trump's comments came less than 24 hours after claiming any NFL player (or as he called them, a "son of a bitch") should be "fired" if the disrespected the American national anthem. I don't know if anybody's changed. We've got players from all over the world and all over the country, and they're going to have different perspectives, so I think it's important for us all to get in a room and hash it out and decide what we want to do. James tweeted. "So therefore ain't no invite".

"With everything that's going on in our country, why are YOU focused on who's kneeling and visiting the White House???".
