"Oh my god, I think he is not even alive".

A family friend was babysitting both boys Monday night when she called 911, telling dispatch she heard a "pop" before she found the 11-year-old bleeding, with a hole in his neck, on a bedroom floor.

A 13-year-old boy accused of shooting and killing his 11-year-old brother at their Streetsboro home is expected to appear in court Wednesday afternoon. She was unaware of any guns in the home, but told the dispatcher that she smelled what she thought was gunpowder. The boy died after being taken to a hospital.

Ohio boy, 13, kills 11-year-old brother, cops say

Police have not said what prompted the teenager to shoot his brother. News Channel 5 has reported that Streetsboro Police said the gun was a.357 Magnum and that it had been locked in a cabinet in the grandfather's home.

The 13-year-old is charged with aggravated murder and could face additional charges. He is being held at the Portage County Juvenile Detention Center. They did not offer a motive for the shooting. Grief counselors will be provided by the Streetsboro Local School District for any students who need them, per Fox8.
