Kawhi Leonard Trade Rumors: Cavaliers, Lakers, Celtics, 76ers Contacted Spurs

Reports: Danny Green opts into contract with San Antonio Spurs LaMarcus Aldridge Kawhi Leonard: Celtics to trade for LA instead?

Now, "pressure is mounting" for the Los Angeles Lakers to be the team that deals for him, ESPN reports.

The risk and price tag in acquiring San Antonio Spurs star Kawhi Leonard may be too rich for the Celtics this offseason, but the Celtics still can not just sit idle and watch Leonard land with a team like the 76ers.

Previous reports have suggested the Spurs would only trade Leonard to an Eastern Conference team, but that reportedly is not true.

Another good sign for Lakers fans - LeBron James' 13-year-old superstar son is very "likely" to enroll at Sierra Canyon School in L.A. ... but our sources say "it's not a done deal".

Per Shelburne and Wojnarowski, Leonard intends to let any teams interested in acquiring him know that he plans to sign with the Lakers when he can become a free agent.

With NBA free agency due to begin this weekend, the Los Angeles Lakers are operating on multiple fronts.

What exactly would that offer be?

The Lakers are reportedly trying to acquire a future first-round pick that could be combined with some of their young assets to entice the Spurs in further negotiations. The Lakers could have to surrender a combination of former first-round picks - from Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart - and future first-round picks and perhaps restricted free agent Julius Randle in a sign-and-trade agreement. That pick could be used to sweeten a prospective trade opportunity. He put up averages of 10.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game as a rookie. A previous talk between the two franchises didn't go so well, but things have changed since then and it has the Spurs open to all possibilities, according to ESPN.

The Leonard rumors are starting to really heat up, and expect the Celtics to be right in the middle of it all until San Antonio actually pulls the trigger.
